So today I got to raid a few storage units for my supplies to complete the Project Accessory Episode 1 Challenge. My son came along to time me and take pictures. It was actually pretty fun to rummage looking for things to make jewelry and a belt with. I was so worried at first all I was finding were old clothes. Then finally I got a break and found some wire and leather cording, a few old Christmas ornaments, I grabbed a leather jacket (not sure I will tackle that big of a challenge yet- I've never sewn leather but hey I wanted to be sure I had plenty to work with.), some clothes with good fabric and some old cloth strips and a loom you know the kind kids make pot holders with in grade school? The next unit had almost nothing but large furniture type stuff until..... I saw it, it was like a golden ray of light from God was shinning on the bin, an entire container of beads! How luck was that? None the less, I'm going to try really hard to to complete this challenge without making it a beading project. I plan to stretch my comfort zone and try a few things I've never done before. I'm not sure when I will get to work on the project and post pics, originally I had planned to do the project each week and post before the next episode airs but - being the Holiday season I don't think I will always get to do that. I just got to look for supplies today and I'm prepping for a show this weekend so I will have to squeeze it in somehow. I planned to give myself a max of 8 clock hours in the studio to complete the challenge. See you on the flip side!
